When disaster strikes: The truth about business continuity

Learn how to bridge the gap between documented business continuity plans and the chaotic operational reality of a real crisis.

When disaster strikes: The truth about business continuity

Description

Most organizations believe they're prepared for the next major disruption, until a real crisis exposes the gap between documented plans and operational reality. New research from Optro finds that 92% of leaders are confident in their organization's ability to meet recovery objectives, yet fewer than four in ten actually did so during their most significant incident, and 54% blew past their defined recovery window entirely.

In this webinar, Richard Chambers, Senior Advisor of Risk and Audit at Optro, will unpack the findings from this research report, including hidden process and dependency gaps, unmanaged third-party risk, ungoverned AI adoption, and the organizational fragmentation that undermines even well-funded programs. He will also be drawing on his decades of experience as not only a risk professional, but also as a former CEO, to share real-world examples of when organizations’ BCM plans proved ineffective. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what separates organizations whose continuity plans hold up when disaster strikes from those where the illusion of readiness meets a costly reality.
