Demystifying MCP for GRC

Learn practical steps to safely govern MCP adoption and streamline workflows across audit, risk, and compliance teams.

Demystifying MCP for GRC

Description

Bridging the gap between audit, risk, and compliance professionals and first-line teams demands an integrated and AI-first approach. Security operations heavily rely on advanced AI today, requiring GRC programs to adapt and collaborate seamlessly. Enter the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard serving as a universal translator for the AI-first GRC era.
Join Keatron Evans, Head of AI Strategy and Enablement at Cengage, Stewart Moody, Competitive Intelligence Manager at Optro, and Megan Sawle, Analyst Relations & Market Intelligence Director at Optro, as they demystify MCP for GRC, and demonstrate how you can use it to break down silos and drive stronger risk visibility across the business. Together they will explore:
  • MCP foundations: How MCP connects enterprise AI to GRC data, and why the value comes from the context you provide, not the protocol itself.
  • Security and privacy considerations: Expert insights into data guardrails, including how MCP respects existing user permissions and roles to ensure secure, authorized access.
  • Practical GRC use cases: Real-world examples showing how to share data across silos and teams via MCP.
