Melanie Dotson is a senior manager in the EY Business Consulting Enterprise Risk practice. Based in Chicago, Melanie has over fifteen years of risk and internal audit experiences including internal audit (IA) co-sourcing, risk transformation, internal controls / SOX 404 and compliance. Operating primarily across the consumer products, Melanie serves as the Consumer Risk Markets Lead for EY’s central region. She also recently served as the Global Enterprise Risk Operations Lead, in which she developed internal audit solutions, transformation methodology and provided market support to multiple teams across regions. Prior to that, she spent two years living in Shanghai, China to support her client in audit execution and training of their internal audit regional team. Melanie is also part of the EY Integrated Culture solution team for the last four years and leads the risk culture methodology and technology developments efforts of the solution. She serves as a risk culture SMR to internal audit teams in building out their risk culture methodologies as well as executing assessments or monitoring. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
