Protiviti recently released their 2017 Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Survey.
This year’s survey results clearly indicate a year over year trend in rising hours devoted to SOX compliance, as well as increasing external audit fees. The majority of companies are also feeling the impact of the PCAOB on IPE testing and are updating their controls documentation to adapt to the new ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.
